Brentford Football Club claimed the scalp of yet another heavyweight in the Premier League, after defeating visiting Merseyside outfit Liverpool 3-1 at the G-Tech Community Stadium on Monday night.

The Bees went ahead through an own goal by Frenchman Ibrahima Konate, Yoane Wissa thought he had added a second only for the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) to chalk it off. Wissa did not have to wait long however as he headed home just seconds later.
Liverpool came storming back in the second period with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain reducing the deficit, moments after Darwin Nunez had his own effort cancelled. Bryan Mbeumo ensured the three points for Thomas Frank’s side as he netted late on.
