Gareth Bale scored a late minute goal to deny the USA maximum points in their first game of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The United States dominated play right from the blast of the whistle and took the lead in the first half when Tim Weah fired his side in front in the 36th minute of action.
After maintaining their lead into half time, the United States met a much better Welsh side in the second half.
Their resillience finally paid off when captain Bale was felled inside the 18-yard box and the referee wasted no time in pointing to the spot kick.
Bale stepped up to it and converted in the 82nd minute to end the tie at 1-1.
The game went down inside the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium at 8 pm local time.
