Manchester United moved to within five points behind table-toppers Arsenal on the Premier League standings, after a comprehensive 3-0 victory over visiting Leicester City at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

The scoreline did not reflect the true nature of proceedings as the visitors were dominant from the get-go, with Spaniard David de Gea making two brilliant saves to deny Harvey Barnes and Kelechi Iheanacho.
The Red Devils had their noses in front through the ever-reliable Marcus Rashford, whose effort beat Danny Ward in goal as United took the slender lead into the interval.

The second period turned out to be an entirely different scenario from the first as Manchester United kept the ball better and made incursions into the Leicester City area. Marcus Rashford struck again in the 56th minute to double the advantage of the hosts albeit with the help of VAR, while substitute Jadon Sancho continued his own great patch since his return as he found the back of the net in the 62nd minute.
The result puts the Red Devils in confidence mode ahead of their UEFA Europa League second leg playoff clash against Spanish La Liga side FC Barcelona later this midweek.
