German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund put themselves in fine position to reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, after overcoming Premier League outfit Chelsea 1-0 at the Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday night.

The Blues put up a decent showing in the opening period, though Borussia Dortmund looked more likely to break the deadlock. The half ended goalless as nothing could separate both teams.
The home side eventually found the breakthrough in the 63rd minute. Karim Adeyemi embarked on a mazy solo run from deep in the BVB half, which culminated with the German international beating the last man Enzo Fernandez and Blues shot-stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga to slot home.

The result further adds more pressure on beleaguered Chelsea gaffer Graham Potter, as fans grow impatient with the Englishman. Though the West London outfit have a chance to overturn the result when both sides clash at Stamford Bridge in three weeks time.
