Manchester United earned the bragging rights in the 189th edition of the Manchester Derby, following a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Manchester City at Old Trafford in Saturday’s early kick-off fixture.

It was a cagey affair in the opening period with City dominating possession, though the Red Devils had the better chances.

The deadlock was broken in the second half when substitute Jack Grealish headed Manchester City in front but the home side turned it around within the space of four minutes as Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford both found the back of the net in the 78th and 82nd minute respectively as Erik ten Hag’s side earned their eighth successive win on the trot.
