Liverpool’s wretched run continued on Saturday afternoon, as they were humbled 3-0 by Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.

The home side were by far the more superior team on the day, as they caused the Reds all sorts of problems especially with the pace and trickery of Kaoru Mitoma, Pascal Gross and Ferguson.

It was no surprise when the Seagulls took the lead immediately after the restart through Solly March in the 46th minute. He was at it again in the 53rd as he grabbed his second of the afternoon, while Danny Welbeck made the points safe for Brighton late on to register his first goal of the season.
