Manchester City progressed to the fourth round of the English FA Cup, after a comfortable 4-0 victory over Chelsea in their third-round clash which went down at the Etihad Stadium.

Three first half goals from Riyad Mahrez who scored via a free-kick, a Julian Alvarez penalty and Phil Foden set Pep Guardiola’s side on the way to the fourth round.

The Cityzens brought more damage on the Blues as Mahrez converted a late penalty to add gloss to the scoreline, with Chelsea having lost all three matches against their illustrious opponents this season without scoring a single goal. New recruit David Datro Fofana made his debut for Chelsea.
