Atletico Madrid 0-1 FC Barcelona: Dembele’s first-half effort wins it for the Catalans

FC Barcelona extended their lead at the top of the Spanish La Liga table, following a slim 1-0 over Atletico Madrid away at the Wanda Metropolitano on Sunday night.

Frenchman Ousmane Dembele netted the only goal of the encounter in the 22nd minute of the first half, which was enough to see the Catalans scoop all maximum points on the night.

The tie was marred by a flurry of red cards to Stefan Savic of Atletico Madrid and Ronald Araujo of Barcelona, following a melee late on.
