Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City revived their title aspirations by besting West London giants Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night.

The Blues had early injury concerns as both Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic were subbed off before the 22nd minute mark, but they held their own as the opening period ended goalless.

The second half saw the Cityzens break the deadlock through substitute Riyad Mahrez, who turned home Jack Grealish’s cross in the 63rd minute. The result sees Pep Guardiola’s side remain second on the PL standings, five points behind leaders Arsenal.
