Premier League side Manchester United ended their 2022/2023 UEFA Europa League group stage campaign with a 1-0 victory against Spanish La Liga outfit Real Sociedad at the Reale Arena in Thursday.
The Erik ten Hag led side needed a two-goal margin victory which would guarantee them top spot in the group and although promising youngster Alejandro Garnacho struck in the 17th minute for the visitors, it was not enough as the Red Devils placed second behind the Spaniards – who took first position by virtue of a healthier goal difference.
