Liverpool 1-2 Leeds United: Rodrigo & Summerville earn visitors first win over the Reds in 21 years, Salah on Target

Liverpool Football Club run of inconsistency continued as they suffered a shock 2-1 home defeat to visiting Leeds United at Anfield on Saturday night.

The home side were pegged back early on, as a mistimed pass from defender Joe Gomez to goalkeeper Allison Becker saw Rodrigo profit from the mix-up to put the visitors ahead.

Jesse March side’s lead only lasted for ten minutes, as talismanic Egyptian Mo Salah volleyed a cross from Andy Robertson to bring the Reds level.

There was more to come in the second half, as Summerville scored late on to give Leeds United the lead and ultimately the victory.
