Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City returned to the summit of the standings, following a 1-0 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in Saturday’s lunchtime fixture.

For all of the Cityzens dominance, the first half finished goalless but the second period came to life when a 49th minute free-kick was superbly converted by Belgian international Kevin de Bruyne to give Pep Guardiola’s men all three points and move them to the top of the PL table temporarily on 29 points (albeit having played a game more), pending when Arsenal takes to the pitch on Sunday.
