Brighton and Hove Albion handed manager Graham Potter his first defeat in charge of Chelsea, as the Seagulls earned a thrilling 4-1 victory over the Blues at the Amex Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The damage was ultimately done in the first half, as three goals from Roberto de Zerbi’s men put Brighton on the ascendancy.

Blues boss Graham Potter who was returning to the Amex Stadium to face his former team, got a bit of respite through German international Kai Havertz who pulled one back upon resumption of the second half but it proved to be no more than a consolation as Pascal Gross added a fourth late on to help Brighton earn a first victory over Chelsea since 1933.
