West London giants Chelsea secured their third consecutive victory in the UEFA Champions League group stages, following a 2-1 away win against Austrian powerhouse Salzburg.

A dominant showing from the men in blue in the first half ended with a spectacular screamer from Croatian midfielder Matteo Kovacic. Graham Potter’s side spurned a few opportunities no thanks to Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and the efforts of the Salzburg goalkeeper.

The home side soon levelled at the start of the second half, thanks to a header by Junior Adamu, but the Blues were soon in front once again through German international Kai Havertz as Chelsea maintained top spot with 10 points.
