Chelsea endured a frustrating 0-0 draw with hosts Brentford in their London derby contest at the G-Tech Community Stadium on Wednesday night.

The Blues could not break the resistance of the home side, no thanks to their display on the night and even had to thank goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga – whose saves prevented Brentford from possibly getting a win.

In our second simultaneous fixture, Liverpool continued their recent run of form as they earned a creditable 1-0 victory over visiting West Ham United at Anfield to register their third win on the spin in all competitions.

Uruguayan frontman Darwin Nunez planted a fine header into the back of the net in the 22nd minute to hand the three points to Jurgen Klopp’s men. Nunez now has five goals this campaign for Liverpool.

First-choice shot-stopper Allison Becker saved a 45th minute penalty from Jarrod Bowen, after the Englishman had been fouled by defender Joe Gomez.
