Jose Mourinho has a made a surprise special appearance in Stormzy’s latest music video. The ‘Special One’, currently managing Serie A side Roma, features in the grime superstar’s video for the song Mel Made Me Do It.
The ten minute video dropped onto YouTube on Thursday evening and fans got a shock to see the former Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham boss.
Mourinho appears as Stormzy says the line: “I prefer not to speak like I’m Jose.”
The legendary manager’s iconic quote – made at the end of a defeat when in charge of Chelsea in 2014 – then plays: “I prefer really not to speak. If I speak I’m in big trouble.”
Mourinho posted on Instagram about his shock appearance in the music video.
Alongside a picture of him and Stormzy, he said: “Was great fun doing this cameo for Stormzy’s new music video out today. I had a great time.”
Stormzy is a huge fan of Manchester United, where Mourinho spent two years in the dugout and won the League Cup and Europa League.
Mourinho is not the only celebrity to feature in the epic video for the song – the first Stormzy has released in nearly three years.
Usain Bolt, Dina Asher-Smith and Ian Wright have cameos, while TV stars Jonathan Ross and Louis Theroux also feature alongside numerous musicians.
Stormzy also namechecks Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Kylian Mbappe and Dillian Whyte in the song and ex-Fulham boss Scott Parker even gets a mention.
Even though he supports United, Stormzy is friends with Man City star Jack Grealish. Back in 2021, he brought the £100million man out on stage with him at Leeds festival.
