Brentford 0-3 Arsenal: Saliba & Jesus on Targets, Vieira nets maiden goal as Nwaneri sets PL Record

Arsenal returned to the summit of the Premier League standings, after defeating Brentford 3-0 in a London Derby clash at the Brentford Community Stadium on Sunday.

The Gunners settled in quickly into the tie and duly opened the scoring through defender William Saliba in the 17th minute, before Brazilian international Gabriel Jesus doubled their advantage via a header in the 28th minute as Arsenal led at the interval.

Portuguese international Fabio Vieira who was making his full Premier League start, found the back of the net with a shot from outside the area upon resumption of the second half as the Gunners pulled further away.

The result sees Mikel Arteta’s side soar above Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspurs into the top of the Premier League table after seven matches, as the international break looms.

Ivan Toney will spearhead the attack for the Bees, as they go up against the Gunners.
