Robert Lewandoski showed why he is a star striker on wednessday night by banging in a hat-trick against Viktoria Plzen. The former Bayern man scored on the 34th, 45th and 67th minutes to complete a hat-trick. Franck Kessie also scored his first Champions league goal for Barcelona, Ferran Torres was also on the scoresheet.
It was not a good night for Klopp and his men as they fell to Napoli by 4-1 in Naples. It only took Napoli 5 minutes to get in front through Piotr Zielinski’s penalty after Milner handled the ball in the box.
Victor Osimhen had an opportunity to double the lead in the 19th minute but he could not convert Napoli’s second penalty of the night. Aguisssa doubled the lead in the 31st minute before Giovanni Simeone made it 3-0 in the 44th minute. Piotr Zielinski got his brace after the break. Luiz Diaz pulled one back for Liverpool but it was too late, the Italian job was done!
Bayern Munich blew past Inter Milan with no qualms courtesy of a goal from Leroy Sane and an own goal by Danilo D’Ambrosio.

Inter Milan vs Bayern Munich –Starting XI
A 3-2 defeat in the Milan derby at the weekend has led to quite a few players getting hooked, including a change in goal. Andre Onana, Danilo D’Ambrosio, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Robin Gosens are in for Samir Handanovic, Stefan de Vrij, Nicolo Barella and Matteo Darmian.
It’s quite the strike force, isn’t it? Sadio Mane is paired with Thomas Muller, who’s recalled to the starting XI alongside Lucas Hernandez as Dayot Upamecano and Jamal Musiala miss out
Inter Milan host Bayern Munich in the Champions League tonight in a battle of two European heavyweights.
In a rematch of the 2010 final, won by Jose Mourinho’s Inter, the Italian and German giants open up this season’s group of death – which also features Barcelona.
A fast start is therefore needed in order to avoid being put on the back foot, with both teams looking to improve upon their European campaign last season. German champions Bayern were knocked out by Villarreal in the quarter-finals while Inter were defeated by Liverpool in the last 16.
Since then, Bayern have signed Sadio Mane to replace Robert Lewandowski while Romelu Lukaku has returned to the San Siro from Chelsea.
Liverpool vs Napoli –Starting XI
Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti makes two changes from his side’s 2-1 win over Lazio in their last Serie A match.
Matteo Politano and Mathias Olivera come into the team for Hirving Lozano and Mario Rui.
Liverpool also shuffle the pack this evening as James Milner, Andy Robertson and Roberto Firmino all come into the starting XI.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will want to get their Champions League campaign off to a good start after their less than ideal form in the Premier League.
Liverpool head to Napoli to commence their latest Champions League campaign tonight. Jurgen Klopp’s side are in need of a jump-start to their season sooner rather than later but they face a tough opener in Group A.
Napoli have made a strong start in Serie A, have one of the tightest defences in Europe and Liverpool have not found them easy opponents in the past. On their last trip to Naples, three years ago, they were beaten 2-0 and the season before that they lost 1-0.

Am sure klopp will resign from the club because what is happening to the team he is the problem,
Reason 1 how can Chambaling pay more than Mane.
2. Why do you leave your supporting director to go
3. All your midfielders are old and injuries have set in, instead replace some you think they can back.
