French giants PSG kicked off their 2022/2023 UEFA Champions League season with a 2-1 win against Italian Serie A outfit Juventus at the Parc des Princes in a Matchday One encounter on Wednesday night.
Parc des Princes was the venue of the biggest clash on Tuesday and it did not disappoint as Kylian Mbappe struck a brace in the first half to seal the victory. American international Weston McKennie who came on as a substitute in the second half bagged a consolation for the Old Lady, whose inconsistent displays continue.
Elsewhere at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, Manchester City opened their UCL campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory over shambolic Sevilla. Erling Haaland scored a brace while Phil Foden and Ruben Dias also found the back of the net as Pep Guardiola’s side picked up three points on the night in Seville.
