Manchester United secured a second successive league victory of the season, after a slim 1-0 win against Southampton at the St. Mary’s Stadium on Saturday’s early kick-off fixture.

The opening period finished goalless despite United starting on the front foot, although the game faded into a drab affair until Portuguese international Bruno Fernandes connected with a pullout from Diogo Dalot in the 55th minute to put Erik ten Hag’s side ahead and ultimately handed the Red Devils their first victory on the road this campaign.
Meanwhile, £60 million pounds signing from Real Madrid Casemiro also made his debut for the club as he came on in the second half.

Red Devils gaffer Erik ten Hag has largely stuck with the side that defeated Liverpool at Old Trafford last time out, with Cristiano Ronaldo still on the bench while new signing Casemiro could make his debut as he is also amongst the substitutes.

Saints manager Ralph Hassenhuttl has made just one change to his line-up, as Che Adams is handed a starting berth.
