2022/2023 Carabao Cup Draws FALLOUT: Manchester City to host Chelsea in Blockbuster Third Round Clash

Premier League champions Manchester City shall face West London giants Chelsea, while Manchester United will welcome Aston Villa at Old Trafford in the third round, after the Draws for the latest stage of the Carabao Cup was conducted.

The two ties were among the highlights of an appealing draw for the next stage of the competition featuring seven all-Premier League ties.

Arsenal vs Brighton, Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham and Wolves vs Leeds were also among the stand-out games, with holders Liverpool drawn at home to League One side Derby County.

Everton will travel to Bournemouth and Newcastle United, who saw off League Two Tranmere on Wednesday, will host Crystal Palace in the other all top-flight encounters.

West Ham United were handed a testing home tie against Blackburn Rovers with League Two Crawley’s reward for knocking out Fulham being a trip to Burnley.

Leicester City will face Newport County of League Two, while Southampton will host Sheffield Wednesday and Brentford will square up against Gillingham.

The other ties were Bristol City vs Lincoln, Stevenage vs Charlton and MK Dons vs Morecambe.

The third-round ties will take place from 8th-10th November.
