Man Utd 2-1 Liverpool: Sancho and Rashford strike as Red Devils grab first PL Victory; Salah nets for the Reds

Manchester United returned to winning ways as they earned a commendable 2-1 win over Liverpool in a Monday Night Football clash at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils were the livelier side in the first half and duly got the opener when Jadon Sancho showed great composure to find the back of the net, following an assist from Anthony Elanga.

Upon resumption of the second half, under-fire Marcus Rashford doubled the hosts advantage after he was teed up perfectly by substitute Anthony Martial. Liverpool responded late on in the 81st minute when he headed home after David de Gea had saved Fabio Carvalho’s effort.
