UD Almeria 1-2 Real Madrid: Vasquez and Alaba efforts earn Los Blancos come-from-behind Victory

Reigning Spanish La Liga champions Real Madrid began their title defence with a come from behind 2-1 win against newly-promoted UD Almeria at the Power Horse Stadium on Sunday night.

It was the hosts who found the breakthrough as early as the sixth minute when Largie Ramazani scored a debut goal in his first outing for the league’s new boys, as they went into the break holding the slender lead.

The second half saw Los Blancos pile the pressure, which ultimately paid off as Lucas Vasquez responded while super sub David Alaba came off the bench to rifle home a free kick, which went in off the post as Madrid ensured they won on opening day.
