The first round of La Liga continued with Real Madrid away to Almeria. The 2nd round of Bundesliga continued with Bayern Munich hosting Wolfsburg. In the first half, Alfonso Davies nearly scored an own goal and Pawar scored with a header; then Mane scored an offside goal and Moushara scored for the third consecutive game; Muller extended the advantage for Bayern at the end. In the second half, Yu Pamekano and Mane scored one after another and were blown. Finally, Bayern defeated Wolfsburg 2-0 at home.

Roma 1-0 Salernitana | Highlights

Dybala made his Serie A debut at Roma. Zaniolo had a chance to break through after the opening goal, but couldn’t take advantage of it. Then, Cristante broke the deadlock with a long-range shot from outside and Dybala hit the post. In the second half, Dybala assisted Wijnaldum to score, but the goal was invalidated because the former was offside. At the end of the match, Roma won 1-0 away to Salernitana to open the new Serie A season.

Paris 5-2 Montpellier | Highlights

Paris Saint-Germain hosted Montpellier in the 2nd round of Ligue 1. In the first half, Mbappe’s penalty was parried by the goalkeeper and made a goal, Messi’s free kick was parried and Neymar scored from the spot. In the second half, Neymar scored twice with a header, Hazri added a point, Mbappe extended the lead, Renato Sanchez scored on his debut as a substitute and Chateau scored late on to make it 5-2 to Montpellier.

Manchester United 0-4 Brentford | Highlights

Manchester United were away to Brentford. In the first half, Da Silva’s long-range shot caused De Gea to miss a save for the first goal. Eriksen’s pass at the back post was broken and Jensen helped the home team to extend their lead, then Ivan Toni sent two assists in a row and Benjamin Mee and Mbeumo scored successively; in the second half, both sides exchanged attacks but failed to score, with De Gea blocking Hickey’s powerful shot and Ronaldo scoring several headers. In the end, Manchester United scored 0-4 against Brentford.

Manchester City 4-0 Bournemouth | Highlights

Manchester City took on Bournemouth. In the first half, Haaland assisted Gündogan to open the scoring, Foden and De Bruyne crossed each other, and Cancelo caused Lerma’s oops when the game was replayed. The match ended 4-0 to Bournemouth.

Arsenal 4-2 Leicester City

Man United’s total team distance run is 13.8km less than Brentford’s

Manchester United went down 0-4 to Brentford in the second round of the Premier League and the statistics show that United also ran less aggressively than their opponents in this match.

According to Sky Sports’ post-match statistics, Brentford’s team ran a total of 109.4km after the match, compared to 95.6km, 13.8km less than their opponents, and the average distance a player runs in the Premier League is now 10.14km.

Also in this game, Brentford players had a total of 90 sprints, an average of one per minute, while United players had a total of 65. Brentford also pressed 21 times in the attacking third, three times as many as United (7 times).

Bayern official marks 8-2 Barcelona second anniversary: what a great game!

Bayern officially released a dynamic to mark the second anniversary of their 8-2 Champions League defeat to Barcelona.

On 14 August 2020, Bayern beat Barcelona 8-2 in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and eventually won the competition that season. In the match, Philippe Coutinho scored twice and Lewandowski also scored.

Today Bayern posted a picture of the 8-2 win over Barcelona and wrote: “What a great game! Two years ago today, we beat Barcelona 8-2 to advance to the semi-finals of the Champions League. The rest is history.”
