The duo of striker Anthony Martial and defender Victor Lindelof will play no part in Manchester United’s Matchday Two encounter against London outfit Brentford Football Club this weekend, due to injury.

According to the club’s official website, both Martial and Lindelof have yet to recover from their respective injuries and will miss the crucial clash as a result.
Martial’s injury-enforced absence had led to Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag having to adapt, which ultimately ended in him picking Danish international and new summer signing Christian Eriksen to play the false-nine role.
The experiment did not work as the Red Devils fell two goals down at the end of the first half. Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was introduced early in the second half but that did not change United’s fortunes as they suffered an opening day defeat.

It remains to be seen how the Dutch tactician will line up for the fixture against the Bees on Saturday.
When asked about Lindelof and Martial’s chances of playing this weekend, the new boss said, “It’s still the same,” indicating that United will once again need to come up with a solution.
