Real Madrid 2-0 Eintratch Frankfurt: Alaba and Benzema on Targets as Los Blancos win UEFA Super Cup for the FIFTH Time

Real Madrid sealed their fifth UEFA Super Cup title, following a 2-0 victory over German Bundesliga side Eintratch Frankfurt at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium in Finland on Wednesday night.

The Spanish La Liga champions exhibited their superior quality when Austrian defender David Alaba found the back of the net in the 37th minute to give Madrid the lead which they took into the half-time interval.

In-form French international Karim Benzema doubled the lead in the 65th minute as he surpassed Raul Gonzalez’s record tally of 323 goals for the club. The 34 year-old now has 324 goals and is number two on the team’s all-time list behind Cristiano Ronaldo, who is on 450 goals.
