Arsenal began their 2022/2023 Premier League campaign with a resounding 2-0 win away to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Friday night, as the new season kicked off.

The Gunners began brightly and were duly rewarded when Gabriel Martinelli headed into the net to give them the lead, which they took to the interval.

Upon the resumption of the second half, Palace responded in a bid to get the equalizer but it was Mikel Arteta’s men who had the last laugh as Marc Guehi inadvertently headed into the net, as the Gunners made the game and the points safe in what was the first London Derby fixture for the new campaign.
