Paris win French Super Cup 4-0 with Nantes

The French Super Cup kicked off in Israel with Paris Saint-Germain taking on Nantes. In the first half, Marquinhos’ header bounced off the crossbar. Neymar sent in a great pass and Messi broke the deadlock by firing past the goalkeeper into an empty net. In the first half, Neymar scored directly from a free kick with seconds remaining. England women win first European Cup 2-1 with Germany women

The final of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 took place at Wembley Stadium, with hosts England Women taking on the tournament’s eight-time winners, Germany Women. German women’s star centre forward Pope was injured during the pre-match warm-up and was replaced by Schuyler in the starting line-up. The first half was a fierce and fast paced affair with both sides exchanging attacks and threats from corner kicks. Towards the end England’s Ellen White fired a shot just over the crossbar from inside the box. In the second half, England’s Toon took a long pass from Walsh to give England the lead with a cool shot against the goalkeeper. It was the 500th goal in the history of the Women’s European Cup. Germany’s Maguire then hit the post with a powerful shot from the right side of the box. After falling behind, the German women attacked hard and finally equalised with an assist from substitute Wassermuth. At the end of regulation time, the teams drew and went into extra time. In extra time England’s Kelly scored the winning goal from a corner kick to make it 2-1 to Germany and the Women’s European Cup for the first time in their history.
Cristiano Ronaldo gets positive reception from Manchester United fans
Manchester United’s final pre-season match, at home to Rayo Vallecano, is underway. The game saw Cristiano Ronaldo make his pre-season debut this summer.
The official Manchester United social media posted a video that begins with Ronaldo’s back in United’s home number 7 shirt, capturing the moments on the pitch before kick-off with the caption “Good to be back.”
The match was Ronaldo’s first game back in the team this summer and United’s first home game back in pre-season this summer.
Manchester United 1-1 Vallecano

Manchester United took on Rayo Vallecano in a friendly match. In the first half, Ronaldo’s shot from the left side of the box was just wide of the goal, and Jong Thaci’s left-footed shot was confiscated by the goalkeeper before Eriksen’s long-range shot grazed the post and Jong Thaci missed several good opportunities in the first half. Ronaldo was replaced by Diallo at the start of the second half and then Diallo added a shot in front of the goal to give United the lead before Falcao hit the crossbar with a long-range shot and then Alvaro added a shot from the left of the box to give Rayo Vallecano the equaliser. The game ended with a 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano.
Liverpool 0-3 Strasbourg

Liverpool played a warm-up match at home against Strasbourg. In the first half, Liverpool’s youngsters Mabaya and Luke Chambers conceded goals, Snail assisted Adrian Thomason twice, Habib Diallo scored with a powerful shot and Bajčetić created danger with a free kick. In the second half, the game petered out, with Zels making several saves. In the end, Liverpool went down 0-3 to Strasbourg.
Milan 2-0 Marseille

AC Milan travelled to Marseille for a pre-season warm-up match. In the first half, Messias opened the scoring with a great drive and then assisted Giroud to push home the winner. In the second half, Nuno Tavares had his debut red card cancelled, Kjaer came back on as a substitute and Issac Toure saw red. In the end, Milan beat Marseille 2-0.
Barca 2-0 New York Red Bulls

Barcelona took on the New York Red Bulls at the Red Bull Arena in the USA. In the first half, Dembele fired a shot high over the bar and then missed several chances in front of the goal before Rafinha played a great pass towards the end of the half and Dembele fired a low shot over the bar. In the second half, Levein’s shot was deflected off the line and not into the back of the net. The New York Red Bulls goalkeeper made a mistake with a defender before the end of the game and Depay took the chance to score. The game ended 2-0 in favour of Barca.
Real Madrid 2-0 Juve

Real Madrid took on Juventus in a friendly match at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, USA. In the first half, Benzema’s opening break was blown, Bonucci hit the post with a free kick, Vinicius made a penalty and Benzema nodded in to help Real Madrid take the lead. In the second half, Benzema shot from a distance to create danger, substitute Asensio extended the score, and Juve youngster Ake came on as a substitute and was replaced again after injury. In the end, Real Madrid made it 2-0 against Juventus.
