Manchester United’s unbeaten run under new gaffer Erik ten Hag came to a grinding halt, as they lost 1-0 to Spanish La Liga opposition Atletico Madrid at the Ulevaal Stadium in Oslo, Norway on Saturday.

The opening period saw both sides deliver end-to-end action but the half ended goalless.
Joao Felix broke the deadlock in the 87th minute with a clinical goal, while Brazilian international Fred was sent off for two bookable offences – as the Red Devils suffered their first defeat in pre-season, while manager Erik ten Hag’s unbeaten streak also came to a stop.

As for the Rojiblancos, Diego Simeone’s men have now made it two wins from two matches in pre-season.
