Mendes has made it clear that Ronaldo would accept a significant pay cut
Mendes has made it clear that Ronaldo would accept a significant pay cut and would like to join a Champions League side where he is not the only one carrying the weight.

Mendes recommended Ronaldo to Barca even before they signed Lewandowski, but no club has come close to signing Ronaldo, which is why United are sticking to their “Ronaldo is not for sale” stance without receiving any offers, and Tenhaag is still hoping to have another open and honest conversation with Ronaldo.

He wants the support of his teammates and believes that is key to staying on top, especially important in a World Cup year when there will be more games to play come mid-season.
And Mendes has made it clear to clubs who have been dissuaded by high wages that Ronaldo is willing to accept a significant pay cut, possibly as much as 30%.
