Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko was held at gunpoint by police in a case of mistaken identity, shocking footage shows.
On social media, a clip has been posted of the Frenchman out in Milan and being searched by officers in the middle of the street.
Cars are stopped in the road, with officers pointing guns in the direction of a vehicle. Bakayoko, wearing a green shirt and black hat, is pressed against a police car and being searched vigorously by an officer. There then appears to be a conversation where one officer informs the colleague conducting the search that Bakayoko is a football player, realising that they have got the wrong suspect.
Bakayoko appears to be free to go by the time the passerby stops filming but the incident led to plenty of uproar on social media.

He played 43 times and won the FA Cup in his first season but hasn’t played competitively for the Blues since then and has instead spent the majority of his tenure on loan elsewhere.
