Cristiano Ronaldo has moved to pour cold water on the report from Portuguese TV suggesting that he was in talks to return to Sporting CP on loan.
The 37-year-old replied to the report with “fake” on Sunday evening to put the rumour of a return to Portuguese capital to bed.
Ronaldo has been in the news since the start of the summer when he failed to resume for Manchester United pre-season training amid reports that he wants to leave the club.
So many big names have been touted to recruit the Portuguese international but nothing solid yet.
