Juventus have accepted Bayern Munich’s bid for defender Matthijs De Ligt. The deal will be worth around $80m for a 5-year contract.
De Ligt is set to become a Bayern player very soon. He will likely be able to join the team for the preseason tour in the United States this week.
Chelsea inquired about the defender early in the season but De Ligt seemed to have made his choice clear, which is why Chelsea instead signed Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli at a cost of €40m including add-ons.
Manchester City were also interested in the centre-back.
