Chelsea Football Club have officially announced the signing of defender Kalidou Koulibaly from Italian Serie A outfit SS Napoli on a four-year deal worth €40m.

The 31 year-old Senegalese international has made the switch from Italy to the Premier League, having turned down Napoli’s offer of a new deal and has now become the second signing under the Todd Boehly era, after the Blues snapped up England attacker Raheem Sterling from reigning champions Manchester City.
Koulibaly has put pen to paper on a four-year contract – which includes an option for a further season, after the sum of forty million Euros exchanged hands between Chelsea and Napoli. He will earn an annual salary of around ten million Euros.
Koulibaly made a total of 317 appearances across eight seasons, during his time with the Partenopei.
