Liverpool 2-0 Crystal Palace; Henderson & Salah on Targets as Reds Claim first Pre-Season Victory

Premier League giants Liverpool FC registered their first win in pre-season, following a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace at the Singapore National Stadium in Singapore on Friday.

The Reds got off to the best possible start as skipper Jordan Henderson rifled in a shot in the area, after being teed up by the enterprising teenager Harvey Elliott. Liverpool went into the interval with the slim lead.

Upon the commencement of the second half, German tactician Jurgen Klopp made as much as eleven substitutions and one of them in the person of talismanic Egyptian attacker Mo Salah doubled their advantage, following a quick one-two with right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The match ended 2-0 in favour of Liverpool, who will be buoyed by the result as they head over to Germany to take on Bundesliga clubside RB Leipzig on July 21st, in the next round of their pre-season activities/commitments.

Crystal Palace’s Starting XI to face Liverpool. Former Reds defender Nathaniel Clyne is in the line-up, as he takes on his former team.

Jurgen Klopp has opted for a more stronger line-up, unlike the last time when he fielded largely reserve players which backfired. Luis Diaz, Roberto Firmino and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will spearhead the attack for the Reds.
