Raheem Sterling bids farewell to Manchester City as he CONFIRMS £50m Chelsea transfer before joining squad

England forward Raheem Sterling gave a heartfelt farewell to Manchester City after seven long years at the club. Sterling has signed a deal to join Chelsea Football Club for £45million (plus £10m in add-ons).

Raheem Sterling chronicles his growth at the blue half of Manchester and the impact the club has had on his career.

Sterling wanted to leave Manchester City after starting just 23 times in the side’s title-winning campaign last season. The England international managed talks over his future himself to ensure he gets what is best for him from a footballing perspective.

Chelsea have offered him reassurances over first-team football on a regular basis. Sterling and Thomas Tuchel spoke extensively before a move was agreed. The Blues head coach did enough to persuade the former Liverpool winger that Stamford Bridge should be his next destination.
