Chelsea are finally set to land England forward Raheem Sterling from Premier League champions Manchester City, after both clubs agreed on an initial £47.5m pounds fee.

The 27-year-old is closing in on a move to West London after earlier finalising personal terms with the Blues, which is set to see him earn in excess of £300,000-a-week, making him the highest paid player in the squad.
Sterling will put pen to paper on a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge, which will have an option to extend for a further 12 months. Add-ons in the deal could see Manchester City earn an extra £10m pounds.
The signing of Sterling is set to be the first under the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital era at Stamford Bridge, with the incomings only just getting started. Also, Chelsea are interested in bringing in Sterling’s teammate at Manchester City Nathan Ake to the club, with talks set to continue over the Dutch international.
