Denmark international Christian Eriksen has agreed to join Premier League giants Manchester United on a three-year deal, according to The Athletic.

The 30 year-old has communicated to the Red Devils that he wants to play for the Old Trafford club, and is prepared to accept their proposal of a three-year deal.
The process of drafting contracts has now started and if that is finalised, the playmaker would need to come through medical tests.
This is normal for all recruits and no problems are anticipated on that front, but given Eriksen’s history, it is a significant hurdle that needs to be navigated.
The Denmark international collapsed on the turf during Denmark’s opening fixture against Finland at UEFA Euro 2020 held last year, after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was fitted with an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator — which meant he was unable to resume his career with then-club Inter Milan due to Serie A rules.
The Serie A side subsequently terminated his deal before he joined Brentford for the second half of last season. He played 11 times in the Premier League, scoring once.
Eriksen who began his senior career at Dutch Eredivisie giants AFC Ajax Amsterdam, previously represented Tottenham Hotspurs between 2013 and 2020, featuring 226 times in the Premier League and scoring 51 goals for the North London side.
