English Premier League side Manchester United and Spanish La Liga outfit FC Barcelona have reportedly reached an agreement over Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong’s transfer fee as his switch to Old Trafford looms closer.

The Red Devils are closing in on new manager Erik ten Hag’s number one target – with de Jong set to be the first signing of the Dutchman’s reign at Old Trafford and a stellar transfer could be completed within a matter of days.
Both clubs are now discussing the structure of the payment. It is believed that the Manchester United will pay a guaranteed sum of €65m, plus add-ons which will bring the full package to around €85m Euros.
