Former Tottenham Hotspurs and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale will join Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit Los Angeles Football Club on a free transfer, after agreeing to an initial one-year deal according to The Athletic.

The 32 year-old Welsh international was linked with moves to Cardiff, Tottenham Hotspurs and Getafe at some point following the expiry of his Real Madrid contract this summer, but has reportedly decided on a switch to California in a bid for regular first-team football ahead of the 2022 FIFA Men’s World Cup Qatar in November.
Gareth Bale’s contract also includes an option to extend for another 18 months and he will team up with legendary former Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini, who was also snapped up on a free transfer by the California-based outfit.
