Croatian international Ivan Perisic is set to join English Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspurs, after agreeing terms on a two-year contract with the North London side.

The 33 year-old will be a free agent this summer upon the expiration of his contract with Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan, with sources close to the player believing that Tottenham will beat both Chelsea and Juventus to his signature.
Spurs boss Antonio Conte has specifically named Perisic as a key signing for his team, having met with Managing Director Fabio Paratici on Friday and agreeing to stay on at the club for another season.

Among Conte’s conditions to remain as manager was signings – with Perisic being one of the players discussed. Subsequently, talks with Perisic have accelerated, with the winger set to receive over £4 million pounds a year.

While fellow Londoners Chelsea and Serie A powerhouse Juventus may strengthen their offers, there is a belief that Spurs are persuasive, particularly with Conte set to stay on for another campaign.
