Liverpool forward Sadio Mane is reportedly close to agreeing a three-year deal with German top-flight outfit Bayern Munich.
The 30 year-old Senegalese who is currently in Paris ahead of the UEFA Champions League Final on Saturday night, had previously stated that he would make his decision known after the showpiece event in the French capital city.
Mane who has only one year left on his current deal with Liverpool, is expected to cost €30 million Euros (around £25 million pounds), though it is rumoured that Spanish La Liga side Barcelona and French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain who are circling around the situation of the pacy attacker, might table an offer.
But it appears Bayern are in pole position to land the Senegalese forward, with French outlet L’Equipe claiming he’s close to agreeing a deal with Bayern.
Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic had met with the player’s agent to express the club’s interest, with Mane informing him that the Bavarians is an attractive destination.
The German giants have made him their primary target this summer as they look to replace the outgoing Robert Lewandowski. The Polish international has been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona, who are thought to be leading the chase to sign the prolific forward.
Mane has spent six years at Anfield since his move from Southampton in 2016. He has scored 120 goals for the club, winning the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, EFL Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.
