Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma emerged champions of the inaugural edition of the UEFA Europa Conference League, after defeating Dutch Eredivisie side Feyenoord 1-0 in the Final on Wednesday night.

The Air Albania Stadium in the capital City of Tirana in Albania played host to the maiden edition of the UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL) Final, and it was the Italians who came out on tops in a game that saw little in terms of goals return.
Nicolo Zaniolo struck in the 32nd minute in the opening half and it proved to be more than enough to land AS Roma their first-ever European continental success.

Roma boss José Mourinho also made history, as he continues his record of having NOT LOST a European club Cup Final and he has now added the UEFA Europa Conference League title to the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Champions League crowns won earlier in his career.

Feyenoord had an opening half to forget though they did step up in the second 45 minutes, but their efforts yielded no goals as they lost the Final to a more controlled Roma side.
