Paris Saint Germain superstar Neymar Jr has doled out the sum of One hundred and sixty thousand Euros (€160,000) to acquire the 2021 African Cup of Nations Final match ball, at a charity auction organised by fellow teammate Idrissa Gueye.

Gueye who is a Senegalese international, organised the event as part of his quest to help children on the continent of Africa.
The auction was attended by several of Gueye’s PSG teammates, with a number of signed shirts from the likes of Marco Verratti, Keylor Navas and Karim Benzema all being made available to buy, with the proceeds going towards HIV and cancer treatments in the region.
None of those attractions, however, brought in nearly as much as the AFCON final ball.

For those directly connected, that Final meant a lot as it was Senegal’s first-ever continental footballing triumph and the ball in question was signed by every member of the AFCON winning squad.
Neymar’s bid of €160,000 was enough to clinch the iconic piece of memorabilia for himself, with the money set to go to a noble cause.
Over 270 high profile personalities in and out of the sporting world, attended the charity event that was hosted by Senegalese player Idrissa Gana Gueye through the “For Hope” foundation in Paris.
