Manchester City have announced the signing of striker Erling Haaland in a club-record deal worth up to £213 million.
The Premier League leaders confirmed on Tuesday that an agreement has been reached with the Norway international, 21, after his release clause was met.
Telegraph Sport understands that City paid an initial €60m (£51.2m) to release Haaland from his contract this summer, two years since he arrived at Dortmund from Red Bull Salzberg.
A club statement read: “Manchester City can confirm that we have reached an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of striker Erling Haaland to the Club on 1st July 2022.
“The transfer remains subject to the Club finalising terms with the player.”
