Italian Serie A side AS Roma reached the Final of the 2021/2022 UEFA Europa Conference League following a 1-0 victory over Premier League outfit Leicester City in the UEFA Europa Conference League semi-final second leg at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Thursday night, with Tammy Abraham being the hero for the Giallorossi.

Jose Mourinho’s men took an early lead in the 11th minute – England striker Tammy Abraham who is having a stellar debut campaign for Roma, rose highest to head home Lorenzo Pellegrini’s corner kick. Roma went into the break holding the lead, both in the tie and on aggregate.

The second half saw Brendan Rodgers side take the match to their hosts but met a resistant Roma backline and despite the Foxes’ best efforts, it was not enough as Jose Mourinho and his Roman Army secured their passage into the Final of the maiden edition of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
As for manager Jose Mourinho, he has become the first manager to reach the final of a major European competition with four different clubs, having done so with Porto (UEFA Cup & UEFA Champions League), Inter Milan (UEFA Champions League), Manchester United (UEFA Europa League) and now AS Roma (UEFA Europa Conference League).
In the other second semi-final clash of the evening, Dutch side Feyenoord progressed into their first European Final in 20 years, where they will face AS Roma by playing out a goalless draw away to French Ligue 1 outfit Olympique Marseille at the Stade Velodrome.

Feyenoord did well enough not to concede, after the first leg had ended 3-2 in their favour in the Netherlands and they will be aiming to become the first winners of the inaugural edition of this competition.
