Everton 1-0 Chelsea: Lampard sinks Chelsea to ignite relegation-survival hopes, Richarlison scores lone goal

Frank Lampard’s hope to keep Everton in the Premier League gained a big boost as they defeated Chelsea 1-0 at Goodison Park.

It was a fiesty encounter that saw up to five yellow cards in the first half alone. But the Toffees came out flying in the second half and they were rewarded with a goal when Azpilicueta didn’t clear his lines on time allowing Richarlison fire home a slick goal.

Everton sit on the top of the bottom three with two games in hand. They would need to win at least 3 of their next 5 games.

Starting XI

N’Golo Kante does not make the Chelsea squad for the trip to Goodison Park as a result of a knock gotten from the game against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Loftus-Cheek partners Jorginho at the centre of the park while Kai Havertz continues to lead the attack with Romelu Lukaku on the bench.

The homes side have stuck with their consistent regulars, with Iwobi featuring from the midfield while Gray and Gordon flank Richarlison up top.
