Football World Reacts to Will Smith Slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars

In what would have been a red offence in a game of football, Hollywood Actor Will Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock for making a joke about his wife. There would have been no need for VAR because it was clear for all to see.

Surprisingly, Will Smith went on to win the Oscar for Best Actor. That is like, Zidane nodding Materazzi and going ahead to win the most valuable player at the World Cup in 2006. That would have really been a wild scene.

Some top personalities in the world of football had some reactions on the matter.

Lineker reacted by jokingly suggesting Smith should play legendary boxer Muhammad Ali in a film about his life, referencing the 2001 movie in which he did exactly that – earning the first Oscar nomination of his career.
