Reigning champions and Premier League giants Chelsea will take on record-winners and La Liga side Real Madrid.

2021 runners-up and Premier League champions Manchester City have been pitted against Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid.

Spanish side Villarreal who earned a famous victory over Italian Serie A outfit Juventus in midweek, will take on German Bundesliga specialists Bayern Munich.

Portuguese Primeira Liga outfit Benfica will lock horns with six-time champions Liverpool.

SEMI-FINAL PAIRINGS:

The first semi-final (1) will be between the winners of Manchester City/Atletico Madrid vs Chelsea/Real Madrid while the second semi-final (2) will be contested between the winners of the ties involving Benfica/Liverpool vs Villarreal/Bayern Munich.

THE FINAL:

The Winners of the second semi-final (Benfica/Liverpool vs Villarreal/Bayern Munich) have been named the ‘home’ team in the showpiece Finale scheduled to hold on May 28th, at the Stade de France in Paris.

The Draws for the quarter-finals, semi-finals and the Finals of the 2021/2022 UEFA Champions League will be conducted today (Friday) at the European football governing body’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

As is the case with previous seasons, the draws will set the ties for the quarter-finals and semi-finals, plus an additional draw will also be held to determine the ‘home’ team for the Final, for procedural reasons.

The draws are open – meaning that there are no seeded teams or country protection. Any team can be drawn against any other team.

The first team drawn will play its first match at home, against the second team drawn.

Teams who will be involved in the draws are: Atlético Madrid (ESP), Real Madrid (ESP), Villarreal (ESP), Chelsea (ENG), Liverpool (ENG), Manchester City (ENG), Bayern (GER) and Benfica (POR).

The first leg of the quarter-finals will be played between April 5th and 6th, with the return legs being on the 12th and 13th of April. The semi-finals first leg will take place on the 26th and 27th of April, while the second legs will be on the 3rd and 4th of May.

The Final of the 2021/2022 UEFA Champions League will take place on Saturday, May 28th, 2022 at the Stade de France in Paris-France.

  9. Chelsea all the way will lift the trophy again, but if it slips off Chelsea’s hand, Beyern will Carry the UEFA Champions League 2021/2022 Sports Season.
