FULL TIME

Liverpool beat Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium to secure a huge three points in the Premier League title race.

Another Goal! Arsenal 0-2 Liverpool

Robertson doesn’t give the ball up, blocks Saka’s clearance and then sprints to the byline. He cuts the ball back to Firmino who gets across his man and flicks the ball in.

Goal! Arsenal 0-1 Liverpool

Diogo Jota scores for Liverpool! Thiago Alcantara finds Diogo Jota who smashes it through Aaron Ramsdale

Second Half

The players are out for the final 45 minutes. Let’s see if Liverpool can find a win here.

Half-time

Really competitive half. Liverpool with chances right at the start and right at the end of the 45 minutes. Arsenal playing at a heck of a pace, but yet to really create a big opportunity. Partey and Martinelli excellent.

No goals yet

Klopp barking orders and gesturing wildly, trying to make tactical tweaks. LFC second best so far. Not looked like creating anything since Van Dijk’s early header.

Kick Off

And so it begins! Will Liverpool be able to close in on Manchester City by beating Arsenal at the Emirates tonight?

Arsenal host Liverpool in the Premier League in a game under the lights at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners head into the game in great form having won all five of their last matches in the league.

It is a run that has seen them move up into fourth with three games in hand over fifth placed Manchester United, meaning that they are well on course for Champions League qualification.

However, they face probably their biggest task yet of their recent form up against a Liverpool side who themselves have been victorious in eight consecutive matches as they seek to chase down Manchester City for the league title.

Arsenal are yet to manage a goal this seasno against Jurgen Klopp’s men, so this promises to be a good litmus test of how far they have really come under Mikel Arteta.
